'Raketeros' Full Trailer Released | Opens in Cinemas August 7

Star Cinema has released the full trailer of Raketeros, an upcoming comedy movie starring Herbert Bautista, Ogie Alcasid, Dennis Padilla, Andrew E. and Long Mejia. 

The movie, which will be released through Star Cinema, is directed by Randy Santiago and produced by Heaven's Best Entertainment of Harlene Bautista.

Also starring Joey Marquez, Mark Gil, Tippy Dos Santos, Eula Caballero, Rodjun Cruz, RR Enriquez, Wendy Valdez, Sam Pinto, Markki Stroem, Regine Angeles, Ryan Bang, Yachang, and PBB Teens Karen Reyes and Ryan Boyce, Raketeros opens in cinemas August 7, 2013.

Raketeros movie plot:

Raketeros recounts the hilarious misadventures of a group of middle aged men, tasked by Don Miguel, their high school batch mate, to fetch an expensive gown from the airport and then take it to Batangas, where it will be worn by his daughter, Juicy, at her debut. Berto, the cable guy (Herbert Bautista), Mando, the billiards player (Dennis Padilla), Julio, the singer (Ogie Alcasid), and Andoy, the priest (Andrew E) experience a series of comical adventures in accomplishing their seemingly simple mission, culminating in an action-filled pursuit by a criminal syndicate. At one point during the car chase, when everything seemed lost, the four buddies revealed intimate truths about themselves, further strengthening their bond of friendship. They managed to survive by the skin of their teeth and take the bullet-ridden gown to Don Miguel's mansion, where it somehow turned out to be the marvel of the event.

Igi Boy Flores Paired with Tippy Dos Santos after being Ditched by Kiray Celis

Igi Boy Flores will be paired off with Tippy Dos Santos this Sunday (January 20) in the teen comedy series “LUV U”.

When asked what the “Goin’ Buliit” graduate feels about the love-team swap, Igi Boy admitted that he’s enjoying the change. “It was always me and Kiray doing riotous scenes so when I was paired with Tippy for the first time, everything felt different in a good way. We don’t fight or tease each other; our scenes are mostly about having fun,” he said.

Does he admire Tippy? Igi Boy answered instantly, “Yes I admire her attitude, her impressive acting skills and of course, her beauty.”

On “LUV U” this Sunday, Rocky (Igi) and Paris (Tippy) will find themselves liking each other’s company after they were ditched by the loves of their lives, Whitney (Kiray) and Max (Rhap Salazar).

Rosanna Roces and Gary Estrada in a Love Affair in MMK this January 19

Award-winning actress Rosanna Roces will star in the upcoming episode of “Maalaala Mo Kaya” this Saturday (January 19). She will portray the role of Gina, a dedicated family woman, who after 36 years met her high school sweetheart Freddie (Gary Estrada).

For seven days, Gina and Freddie built happy memories and through a short span of time found out that they were still deeply in love with each other. In the end, will Gina sacrifice everything including her family just to continue her love affair with Freddie?

Aside from Rosanna and Gary, also featured in “MMK” this Saturday are Tippy Dos Santos, Benjamin de Guzman, Kristel Fulgar, Marlann Flores, Marki Stroem, Kathleen Hermosa, Beauty Gonzales, and Gail Garcia. The story was researched by Akeem Jordan del Rosario, written by Benson Logronio, and directed by Raz de la Torre.

Karylle, Tippy Dos Santos in for Miss Saigon Call Backs

Kapamilya singer/actress/host Karylle has made it to the call backs of "Miss Saigon" auditions. The international hit musical will have its West End revival and the four-day auditions in Manila, Philippines started Monday, November 19.

Talent manager Carlo Orosa posted a picture of Karylle holding her call-back slip on Facebook with the caption "We made it." Orosa's other talent from Stages, Star Magic singer-actress Tippy dos Santos, also received a call-back slip.

Karylle, who is very emotional after she performed the "Miss Saigon" song I'd Give My Life For You, will return on Wednesday, November 21 with Tippy and others who have also received their call back slips to audition for specific roles and to undergo dance auditions.

Others who also passed for the call backs include professional theater actors Jake Macapagal, K-la Rivera, OJ Mariano, Lawrenz Martinez, and Manila-born Singaporean singer-actress Julia Abueva. 

Over a thousand hopefuls enlisted for the much-awaited Manila auditions for the "Miss Saigon" revival which will run until Thursday, November 22 at the Philippine Opera Company’s headquarters in Makati. Some who auditioned were from Australia, Hong Kong and Singapore.

The original Miss Saigon was first staged at Theatre Royal in Drury Lane, London on September 20, 1989. It opened on Broadway in 1999. Filipina international-singer actress Lea Salonga originally played the lead role of Kim in "Miss Saigon."

Miles Ocampo, Jealous of Marco Gumabao's New Friend Tippy Dos Santos?

Rumor has it that “LUV U” star Marco Gumabao and his onscreen partner former “Goin Bulilit” star Miles Ocampo has been dating for a while but the two are insistent that there’s nothing going on between them.

But Miles seems to feel uneasy now that a new girl has entered Marco’s life and will be part of their show. How will this affect their friendship?

During an interview, Miles said that Marco is just plain friendly. “He’s very sweet to his friends, it’s his nature,” she said.

On “LUV U” this Sunday, everyone will meet the girl that will test Camille (Miles) and JB’s (Marco) relationship. Pretty Paris (Tippy Dos Santos) will enter the scene as the new school reporter and will have Camille feel jealous as JB seems to spend more time with her for interviews.

Be Careful With My Heart's Luke Lim (Jerome Ponce) and Nikki Lim (Janella Salvador) will be guesting on Sarah G Live! this Sunday, September 16. The two teen stars will be doing a  breath-taking smash-up dance number with I Do Bidoo Bidoo stars Sam Concepcion and Tippy Dos Santos.

Meanwhile, popstar Sarah Geronimo will celebrate as she adds another feather to her cap. Sarah recently bagged ‘Concert Performer of the Year’ award in the 4th PMPC Star Awards for Music (see full list of winners here).

I Do Bidoo Bidoo Cinema Trailer Released!

The cinematic trailer for the upcoming musical comedy movie I Do Bidoo Bidoo has been released. The said movie features the hit songs of OPM legend APO Hiking Society.

Starring Gary Valenciano, Zsa Zsa Padilla, Eugene Domingo, Ogie Alcasid, Sam Concepcion and introducing Tippy Dos Santos, I Do Bidoo Bidoo will hit theaters this August 29.

I Do Bidoo Bidoo tells the story of young lovers who are about to get married but are torn by their families’ differences. It's the Polotans versus the Fuentebellas in this uniquely feel-good film packed with singing and dancing (read more about the plot here).

Also starring Neil Coleta, Frenchie Dy, Sweet Plantado, Jaime Fabregas, Kiray Celis and Gerald Pesigan, I Do Bidoo Bidoo is directed by the Chris Martinez under Unitel Pictures and Studio 5.

Sam Concepcion and Tippy Dos Santos Kiss for A Movie

Actor-singer Sam Concepcion had his very first big screen kissing scene with Tippy Dos Santos for the upcoming musical film, I Do Bidoo Bidoo. Tippy and Sam are long-time friends and theater colleagues, working together in several musicals including the much celebrated Peter Pan where Sam played the title role and Tippy played Wendy.

Sam revealed in his Push.com.ph interview that there is the feeling of awkwardness when he and Tippy did the kissing scenes for the movie. Since he and Tippy had known each other for a long time, the first on-screen kiss would feel different even though they are very close friends.

In the movie, Tippy will get impregnated by Sam at the age of 21, the jumping point in the story. Since Tippy came from a well off family and Sam from a middle class one, the struggles between the two different families will keep the vibe of the musical film.

Sam and Tippy will work with big actors/singers like Eugene Domingo, Ogie Alcasid, Zsa Zsa Padilla, Gary Valenciano in I Do Bidoo Bidoo. The film is a sort of a tribute to APO Hiking Society since all the songs that will be used are APO songs.

I Do Bidoo Bidoo is directed by award-winning writer/director, Chris Martinez under Straight Shooters Media.

Ivan Dorschner is in the New Skin White TV Commercial

PBB Teen Clash of 2010 alumnus Ivan Dorschner appears in a new TV commercial by Skin White. This model hottie appeared in several commercials and Kapamilya TV shows like ASAP, Good Vibes and Walang Hanggan.

This Filipino-Irish-German was indeed a lucky guy this year as he took pride to be the last shirtless guy who got kissed by Katy Perry in the span of the latter's California Dreams Tour which culminates in the Philippines after touring 125 countries. That fateful night of January 22, 2012 at SM MOA could be Ivan's spark for stardom.

Ivan is managed by Star Magic, ABS-CBN's talent arm yet he is still not elevated into a leading man status and just doing supporting roles on TV. Perhaps, his Tagalog should improve in order to catch starring roles like Sam Milby and Derek Ramsay.
