Kantar Media (January 29 and 31) TV Ratings: Indio Beats Kailangan Ko'y Ikaw

Epic-serye Indio starring Bong Revilla was able to beat Kailangan Ko'y Ikaw in TV ratings nationwide, clinching the 5th spot in national TV ratings (the highest for a Kapuso program). 

Kailangan Ko'y Ikaw, however, beat rival Temptation of Wife while Indio bowed down to Princess and I. Daytime is still dominated by Be Careful With My Heart (which is nominated in the 'Telenovela' category in the 2013 New York Festivals) while primetime is being reigned over by Ina Kapatid Anak.

Princess and I Finale: Dasho Jao is the "I" in Princess and I

ABS-CBN's Royal teleserye Princess and I  ended successfully on Friday (February 1). The finale episode revealed the second character in the series' title—Dasho Jao.

In the final scenes of the top-rating series aired Friday night, Dasho Jao (Enrique Gil) has turned into a monk and is seen retelling his journey of love and redemption to a group of children, two years after he decided to spare Mikay/Princess Areeya from marrying him. 

"Tinuruan niya ang puso ko na mahalin ang aking sarili, na hanapin ang aking kalalagyan sa mundo, humingi ng tawad at magpatawad. Minahal niya ako, at mulang binuksan ang puso ko para tumanggap ng pag-ibig. Yes, she taught me how to love unconditionally. And that's the story of the 'Princess and I," Jao said.

Meanwhile, Ashi Behati (Gretchen Barretto) suffered insanity after the failed plan of overtaking Yangdon and accidentally hitting her own son Dasho Jao when she attempted to kill the princess with a gun.

A happily ever after ending was seen for the Princess and Dasho Yuan/Gino, who are engaged to be married  in two years time. Princess and I ended with a celebration at King Anand's (Albert Martinez) palace, with a shot of Gino and Mikay starting to kiss.

Princess and I Finale: 'The Royal Ending' this Friday (February 1)

After almost a year of winning the hearts of TV viewers, the country’s most successful teen teleserye “Princess and I” will air its ‘royal ending’ on Friday (February 1) on ABS-CBN’s Primetime Bida.

With its impressive story, cast, locations, costumes, and musical score, the royal teleserye topbilled by Kathryn Bernardo, Daniel Padilla, Enrique Gil, Khalil Ramos, Albert Martinez, and Gretchen Barretto, quickly became a hit not only among the young viewers but also among families. Loyal fans were hooked with the funny adventures and lesson-filled misadventures of a simple young girl named Mikay (Kathryn), the long lost Princess Areeyah of the Kingdom of Yangdon.

Kantar Media (January 21) TV Ratings: 'Kailangan Ko'y Ikaw' and 'May Isang Pangarap' Pilot Wins Nationwide

Two new ABS-CBN shows—Kailangan Ko'y Ikaw and May Isang Pangarap—premiered strongly nationwide on Monday, January 21 beating rival programs.

Kailangan Ko'y Ikaw starring Kria Aquino, Robin Padilla and Anne Curtis (23.6%) which aired on Primetime Bida beats Temptation of a Wife Pinoy Version (17.5%) while Kapamilya Gold's May Isang Pangarap of Vina Morales, Carmina Villaroel, Larah Sabroso and Julia Base 13.7%) thrashes Yesterday’s Bride (12.1%).

Top 7 of top 20 list are ABS-CBN programs led by Ina Kapatid Anak (34.3%) followed by Princess and I (31.8%), TV Patrol (31.4%), Aryana (28.8%), Be careful with My Heart (28.4%), Kailangan Ko'y Ikaw (23.6%) and Minute to Win It (19.8%).

Kantar Media (January 17-18) TV Ratings: Be Careful With My Heart Hits 30.3% Rating

ABS-CBN's kilig-serye Be Careful With My Heart hit its all-time high 30.3% TV rating last January 18  according to Kantar Media/TNS. The show has consistently generated higher ratings after it was moved to a noontime slot. 

Meanwhile, Ina Kapatid Anak is still the number 1 primetime program in the country with 33% followed by Princess and I which is now on its last 2 weeks and TV Patrol. The finale episode of A Beautiful Affair last January 18 had 21.8% rating, enough to topple competition.

Team Gino Wins Princess and I Royal Game Championship; Daniel Padilla Spits Blood After Accident

The Princess and I Royal Basketball Championship Game happened January 20 at the SM Mall of Asia (MOA) Arena and Team Gino of Daniel Padilla won and were hailed as champions beating Team Jao with a final score of 100-94.

Team Jao, composed of Enrique Gil,  Khalil Ramos, Young JV and UAAP's Bobby Ray Parks Jr and Jeric Teng, dominated the 1st half of the game with a score of 47-43 after the second quarter. However, Team Gino led by Daniel Padilla with Joseph Marco and UAAP's Ryan Buenafe and Jeron Teng played hard on the second half, making 57 points versus 47 of Team Jao, enough for them to be declared champions of the royal basketball game.

UAAP's Jeron Teng and Daniel Padilla were named Best Players of the game but Daniel's journey to the trophy did not went smoothly. After making a crucial shot, Daniel was accidentally hit by Bobby Ray Parks when he tried to block the latter from taking a jumper, resulting to extensive bleeding of his lower lip. 

Daniel Padilla was rushed to the hospital after the game and reports said that his lower lip got stitched. Meanwhile, Kathryn Bernardo, in an interview said she was worried about what happened expressing  concern on her love team partner.

Princess and I is now on its last 2 weeks, with the finale episode airing this February 1 on ABS-CBN Primetime Bida.

Princess and I Finale Episode Airs February 1

ABS-CBN’s royal teleserye “Princess and I,” which stars Kathryn Bernardo, Daniel Padilla, Enrique Gil, Khalil Ramos, Albert Martinez, and Gretchen Barretto, is now down to its last three weeks. It will air its last episode on February 1 (Friday).

As part of the show’s grand celebration for its success and royal countdown to its finale, the much awaited “Princess and I Royal Fair: Final Game” between Team Gino of Daniel and Team Jao of Enrique will finally happen this Sunday (January 20) at the Mall of Asia Arena. 

Aside from the whole cast, the royal basketball match will be graced by special guests including well known professional basketball players and University Athletic Association of the Philippines (UAAP) cagers like Jeric Fortuna of University of Santo Tomas and Jeron Teng of De La Salle University who will play as guest players in the event.

Ina Kapatid Anak Beat's Indio Pilot Episode in National and Mega Manila TV Ratings

ABS-CBN’s top caliber family drama series “Ina Kapatid Anak” successfully opened its book 2 on Monday (January 14) after its much-awaited grand reveal episode tagged as ‘Gabi ng Katotohanan’ hit the show’s all-time high national TV ratings and conquered the top-trending topics on Twitter Philippines and worldwide.

Based on the data from Kantar Media, the beginning of book 2 that exposed the truth about the real identity of Kim Chiu’s character Celyn garnered a national TV rating of 36.3%, or almost 14 points higher than the pilot episode of its newest rival program in GMA “Indio,” which only got 22.7%. Also, the ratings earned by “Ina Kapatid Anak” was almost double of another GMA primetime teleserye “Temptation of Wife” that only obtained 19% national TV ratings.

Aside from ruling the ratings game as the no.1 primetime TV series nationwide, “Ina Kapatid Anak” also dominated the popular microblogging site Twitter with the episode’s non-stop revelations and confrontations, especially among the characters of its lead stars Kim, Maja Salvador, Janice de Belen, Ariel Rivera and Cherry Pie Picache. With the netizens’ overflowing emotions, the title of the teleserye became a national trending topic, while ‘Cherry Pie’ made it on the top trending topics worldwide, with the seasoned actress’ outstanding dramatic performance as Teresa, the mother of Celyn.

Meanwhile, Ina Kapatid Anak was also able to beat Indio in Mega Manila according to AGB Nielsen. The Kim Chiu-Maja Salvador starrer got 29.4%, a 0.1% difference from Indio's 29.3%.

To show their appreciation to their loyal viewers, “Ina Kapatid Anak” stars Kim, Xian and Enchong will fly to Cebu to join ABS-CBN Regional Network Group’s Kapamilya Karavan this Saturday (January 19), 4pm, at Ayala Center, Cebu.

ABS-CBN Clinches 16 Out of 20 Most Watched Programs in 2012

ABS-CBN dominated nationwide TV ratings in 2012 by virtue of its weeklong top-caliber primetime offerings that continue to gain significant increases as more and more viewers watch them on both weekday and weekend nights. Sixteen out of the 20 most watched programs nationwide in the June-December 2012 period covering urban and rural homes were produced by ABS-CBN.

Phenomenal TV drama “Walang Hanggan” ruled the list with a whopping national TV rating of 38.4%, followed by “Princess and I” (35.3%), “Maalaala Mo Kaya” (33.4%), and “Wansapanataym” (32.5%).

“TV Patrol” came in fifth with a national TV rating of 31.4%, making it the number one newscast in the country. GMA’s “24 Oras” only managed 17.8%, or 13 points behind “TV Patrol.”

The other ABS-CBN programs included in the top 20 programs for June-December 2012 are “Ina Kapatid Anak” (30.3%), “Dahil sa Pag-ibig” (25.3%), “Kapamilya Deal or No Deal” (25%), “Rated K” (25%), “Aryana” (24%), “Goin’ Bulilit” (23.6%), “Be Careful With My Heart” (22.7%), “Lorenzo’s Time” (21.6%), “The X Factor Philippines” Saturday (20.7%), “Pinoy Big Brother Teen Edition 4” Saturday (19.8%), and “TV Patrol Weekend” Sunday (19.5%).

Enrique and Daniel All Set for Princess and I Royal Match "The Finals"

ABS-CBN’s top-rating drama series “Princess and I” will treat its die-hard fans with the “Princess and I Royal Fair: Final Game” which will happen on January 20 (Sunday) at the SM Mall of Asia (MOA) Arena. 

The fair will highlight the championship match between the basketball teams of Kathryn Bernardo’s princes—Gino (Daniel Padilla) and Jao (Enrique Gil). 

If Team Jao ruled the first game and Team Gino claimed victory on the second round, which will be declared as champion of the ‘royal match?’
