Big Bang and Rhum Rockfest Artists Cover MYX Magazine Issue 32 (January 2013)

MYX Magazine welcomes 2013 with a huge bang giving every music lover the best in OPM and K-Pop featuring Rhum Rockfest artists and Big Bang back-to-back on the cover of MYX Mag’s 32nd issue.

Rhum Rockfest artists Wolfgang, Kamikazee, Parokya Ni Edgar, Rico Blanco and Urbandub share their 3-city tour attended by 150,000 fans proving that Filipino music is still very much alive and kicking.

25th Aliw Awards 2012 Nominees Revealed

25th Aliw Awards 2012The 25th Aliw Awards 2012 nominees have been released. The Aliw Awards, which is now on its 25th year, honors singers, musicians, stand-up comedians, theater artists and other live performers. The awards night will be held on November 26 at the Manila Hotel.

ASAP 2012 regulars Jed Madela, Christian Bautista and Erik Santos are all nominated for Best Major Concert (Male), along with Callalily vocalist Kean Cipriano. For Best Major Concert (Female), the competition will be among Aiza Seguerra, Sarah Geronimo and Anne Curtis for their respective Araneta Coliseum concerts.

Kapamilya Stars Welcomes ABS-CBN's 'Newest Ride' on ASAP 2012 this November 4

The Reunion: An Eraserheads Tribute Concert Set on July 27

Star Records levels up the 'E-Heads experience' for music fans across generations and slates a once-in-a-lifetime gathering of the country’s best rocks bands and solo artists to celebrate the timeless music of the iconic Filipino pop-rock band The Eraserheads via “The Reunion: An Eraserheads Tribute Concert," which is set to happen on July 27 (Friday), 5pm, at the Trinoma Activity Center.

"The Reunion” concert will pay tribute to the anthemic songs of Ely Buendia, Raimund Marasigan, Buddy Zabala, and Marcus Adoro through the new sound to be performerd by Callalily, 6CycleMind with Eunice of Gracenote, Hilera, Itchyworms, Mayonnaise, Tanya Markova, Johnoy Danao, Jay Durias, Vin Dancel, and Ney Dimaculangan.

Under the production of Star Records, “The Reunion: An Eraserheads Tribute Concert" is a pays homage to the accolade priceless contribution of the band to the Philippine music history and to the country’s culture as a whole. The event is eyed to be a celebration not only of the generation who grew up to the music of The Eraserheads but also to the youth of today who are discovering the greatness of the band that revived Pinoy rock in 1990’s.

The concert is exclusive to fans who will buy the “The Reunion: An Eraserheads Tribute Album" in various AstroPlus or AstroVision stores during the set pre-selling period that is from July 7 to July 27. Albums will also be sold on the day of the event. To qualify as audience, the album buyer must present the official receipt as proof of purchase on the day of the concert. Buyers with AstroPlus/AstroVision official receipts only will be accommodated. Purchased albums prior July 7 will not be accommodated.

Meanwhile, aside from serving as a concert pass, “The Reunion” tribute album also serves as a raffle ticket to Star Records’ "Soundtrip to Roadtrip Promo," wherein fans get the chance to win a Chevrolet Spark just by purchasing the album at selected SM, Astro, and Odyssey Music and Video stores. The promo runs from May 14 until August 3. Also part of 'The Reunion' promo is the popular clothing line Dickies.

Callalily Revives Eraserheads' "Minsan" for The Reunion Movie Soundtrack (Teaser)

Callalily revives the Eraserheads hit Minsan for the upcoming Star Cinema movie The Reunion. The movie's soundtrack will be released as an Eraserheads tribute album.

According to its director, Frasco Mortiz, The Reunion movie is about a group of high school friends who are looking for the true meaning of love and happiness.


"Isa siyang barkada movie na ipapakita ang journey ng isang grupo na close friends noong high school, several years later magkikita sila ulit. Doon ipapakita ang journey nila sa paghahanap ng tunay na kaligayahan. May ginawa kasi silang kasalanan noong high school at feeling nila kaya di pa sila nakakapag-move on sa buhay nila ngayon dahil sa nangyari before."

The said flick will also pay tribute to OPM music, mostly songs from the '90s spectacular band, Eraserheads. The movie stars Enrique Gil, Enchong Dee, Xian Lim and Kean Cipriano.
